What a treat to see CBC’s Devin Heroux reporting on the thrilling finale of the Continental Cup of Curling last week in London, ON.
Like so many other Corpse jock sniffers, Devin is not only a talented journo, but he’s also a terrific ambassador for the public broadcaster, tirelessly tweeting and promoting the CBC brand in communities large and small across our great land.
Take, for example, his tweet from Saturday in London:
“There are a number of young hockey teams staying in the same hotel as me here in London. It’s noisy. I don’t mind. It reminds me of my childhood in Saskatchewan.I remember the magic of hockey road trips… From Delisle to Dalmeny… Aberdeen to Asquith… Moose Jaw to Moosomin. Natural ice rinks. Numb feet. Early mornings. Wouldn’t trade it for much.”
Ah, the connective magic of social media. And Devin’s lyrical glide on the rinks of yesteryear was only the beginning. Lucky fans in London could also win a one-on-one with the televisual personality himself, as he advertised on that other indispensable platform, Grindr, via his Instagram account @drheroux.
