    I saw photos of former Governor General Michelle Jean and the current (Governor) General David Johnson in a military uniform. Also, photos of “Prince” Charles in full regalia. Is that legit? Just wondering….

    Yes, the G-G is considered the commander-in-chief of the armed forces, and is expected to perform ceremonial duties in military dress. Which is why it was considered odd when Harpo departed from protocol and insisted that he have photo ops greeting soldiers returning from Libya and Afghanistan—the G-G has traditionally done that. But Harpo, like Dubya, just loves playing dress-up!
