Selfie of the week: Heather Mallick

“I wrote about Harper, spoke across the country to lawyers, teachers, book-lovers, students and feminists, wrote for the Star, Harpers Magazine, Chatelaine, the Globe and Mail, the CBC and other media.

“What I remember was how violent and frightening the reaction was for many years, especially when the Conservative Party targeted me personally, even using my Star columns to raise money….Looking back, the hallmark of the Harper government was its dislike of intellectuals, particularly scientists, but also anyone who seemed literate or artsy, or, come to think of it, attractive, urban, female, the list goes on.

“I tire. After ten years of fighting Harper, my skull is sieve-like and my brain leaking, chunk by chunk, into something like those drip pan arrangements underneath the fridge.”
–Heather Mallick, Toronto Star, Oct. 21, 2015.

It’a ALWAYS about Heather…a grateful nation can’t do enough to award her for her selfless bravery on the front lines of fatuous self-promotion…

Perhaps those sieve-like holes in her skull will start to fill in. I’ll donate a couple of tubes of Crazy Glue to help the process. I understand it works on Typist’s Finger as well.

“… attractive, urban, female …” Er, like you, Heather??

    Okay, maybe urban.
