Please…. how do I sponsor the incinerator?
Actually, let’s save all of it. Canadians paid good money for this pompous dreck. Then, we get the publicly funded CBC to stop selling commercials and use the archive material to fill in all the …ahem… ‘Dead air’ space created. If that doesn’t bury the Corpse, nothing will.

I don’t see Danny Finkleman on the fire.

    The House Has Seven Gables

Can an indomitable carrot-top from Island find joy in the moral cesspit of Ottawa politics? Can our irrepressible, loquacious Anne endure decades of listening politely as unscrupulous dunderheads of every partisan pathology rhyme off their pre-fab, focus-group-certified lies like so many brain-damaged African greys? Or will it crush her spirit, transforming her by degrees into a matronly version of Rex Murphy? Tune in to Canada’s most beloved hour of wall-to-wall mendacity…and stop calling me “Shirley”.

If they could only ‘erase’ any vocal evidence of Mikey Enright, the earth would bloom again.

I think it is a shame to destroy the working papers and artifacts generated by the historical CBC Radio and Television. Seriously the place has gone downhill since Jian Ghomeshi left the building. There is a sanctimonious aura of having some short-sighted archive administrator making all of these cultural decisions. She might not see the value of things that I treasure. With the current CBC I imagine it is like being on the receiving end of a Clockwork Orange style of brainwashing or sensitivity correction…If they are going to destroy Canadian culture they should stop the traffic and have a bonfire on Front Street like they did in Germany. It’s just not right!

Oh well, we’ll still have the CTV archives. We must never forget such cultural icons as Mike Bullard, Barbara McNair, Red Fisher, Kareen’s Yoga and of course the Pig ‘N’ Whistle.
