Bad news for Ottawa court sluggos who were anticipating a diesel-free breather from Chris Barber and his beardy yeller groupies.
The marathon trial of the Klown Konvoy’s presiding skinhead and honker queen, Tamara Lich, wrapped up this month.
And yet, the insurrectionist bore was still idling outside the courthouse.
Barber’s latest honk-honker is against the Province of Ontario and he’s demanding $300,000 in general damages (aggravated, exemplary, and punitive damages TBA) for Crown disclosure of his text messages.
Readers may recall Boreber previously tried to get his criminal charges stayed on the same basis. He joined his fellow yobbos in suing the Ottawa cops for not stopping their unhinged bullshit (Stop Us Before We Honk Again!, Frank, Feb, 2024.) He also sued over the freezing of bank accounts, etc., etc. All to little avail, but hold the line, eh?
The latest lawfare laugher :
“On or about July 4, 2023, CTV News wrote an article regarding Mr. Barber’s UFED cellphone data extraction containing over 4000 pages of data that the media obtained from the Court. The Crown had filed this UFED data at Ms. Tamara Lich’s bail hearing which then became available to the public and the media.
“The UFED cellphone data contained multiple text messages, phone number contacts and names, videos, photos, etc., totally irrelevant to the case of Ms. Lich and of Mr. Barber.
“The entire UFED cellphone data should never have been filed with the Court making it available to the public and the media as it contained personal and private information that was totally irrelevant to the case. There was no proper vetting of the UFED data prior to being filed with the Court.
“The Crown breached Mr. Barber’s privacy rights in filing the UFED cellphone data with the Court without a proper vetting of same. The Plaintiff learned of the filing of the UFED data after the CTV News article became public on July 4, 2023.”
CTV gumshoes Glen McGregor and Jordan Gowling were keen to learn more about the advice Barber was getting during the Freedom Convoy from ex-Saskatchewan preem Brad Wall and Saskatchewan Party MLA Hugh Nerlien. Mere details in the face of such dirty-minded tyranny and tawdry tabloid leering, bien sûr.
No reply yet from Ford Province to the suit, filed in Ottawa Sept. 10.
Dean French is 69.
In a well-functioning polity officials would simply transport Lich, Barber and their paleolithic entourage to some remote area of the country, where they would assume a middling position in the food-chain.
I suggest Manitoba.
Yes…somewhere near Churchill…teeming with peckish polar bears…perfect.
